- Video pitch recordings and thumbnails

2.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Log data (IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps)
- Device information (operating system, device identifiers)
- Usage data (features used, time spent, interactions)
- Profile views and video view counts
2.3 AI-Generated Data
When you upload a pitch video, our AI systems may generate a transcript, coaching scores, and embedding vectors. Embedding vectors (derived from the transcript and your profile text) are used for job matching. Coaching scores for communication and clarity are visible to recruiters as context alongside your profile. Coaching scores for confidenceand energy are retained for your own self-improvement only — they are never shown to recruiters and are never used to rank or match candidates.

- To surface student profiles to recruiters based on search and discovery features
- To send transactional emails (application updates, interview invites, notifications)
- To generate AI coaching feedback on your pitch video
- To provide personalized career suggestions via our your agent
- To analyze platform usage and improve our algorithms
- To comply with legal obligations
4. Sharing Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in the following circumstances:
- With recruiters: Your profile, pitch video, and application data are visible to recruiters at companies you apply to, or to recruiters using our discovery features if your profile is set to “open to work.”
- With service providers: We use third-party services (including Anthropic for AI, AWS for storage, SendGrid for email, and Voyage AI for embeddings) that process data on our behalf under strict data processing agreements.
- For legal reasons: If required by law, court order, or to protect rights and safety.
- Business transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
5. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time through the Settings page. We may retain certain information as required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., fraud prevention) for up to 90 days after deletion.

8. Children's Privacy
PitchMe is intended for college students aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.
9. Cookies
We use browser local storage to maintain your authentication session. We may use analytics cookies to understand how users interact with our Service. You can control cookie settings through your browser; however, disabling certain storage may affect Service functionality.
